I am a mechanical engineering senior at Cal Poly and am not incredibly familiar with air-oil systems. I am thinking about fabricating a dumping bed system for my pickup. It would be possible to purchase a pto, hydraulic pump and ram for this a

Hi all.I am looking for a switch(prefer push button) to turn on and off air supply to an air piston motor. The motor is in a sealed housing, which will be immersed in water for cleaning so swith face must be watertight (panel mount type mount).

I am designing a system that would require 2 hydraulic cylinders but only have air available to move them, and need the stability of the oil.Where would I find the unit to convert the air to the oil output? Cylinders shoud be about 2 ID by 12""

Check out Norgren s valves. Their 'Super X' range panel mounts tend to be supplied with sealing gaskets and are generally Brass/Plastic operating heads, so will not rust. http://www.norgren.com

Pat;If you have MSWord 97 or higher I can send you a chapter out of a training book I use to teach Basic Fluid Power. It covers Air-Oil, Air Dash Pots, Air-Air and Air-Oil Intensifiers. There should be enough info to get you started.Bud

The system is called air over oil, or air-oil. Most manufacturers make air-oil tanks. FabCo-Air in Gainesville FL is a great start. Using (2) 2 bore cylinders X 12" stroke you have approximately 76 cubic inches of oil volume you need to fill."

I need to detect a conveyor belt moving by sensing the rotation of the rollers driving it. The rollers are spinning at 3000rpm, belts speed 20m/sec. The conveyor is transporting coal and has to trigger a water spray system to damp down the coa

I have been thinking about this for a while. Putting a sensor directly on the roller would require the sensor to actuate every 0.02 seconds. This is beyond the limitations of the valves I looked up from Clippard. So I thought of a couple differ

Would you be able to add a 'dog' on a roller, that would contact a lever arm to a 3-way valve? If you could, you then could actuate a 3-way valve to give a signal out only when the roller is moving. The valve could have an 'off-delay' that would

How about a Fan Blade on one roller with a shroud that points its air flow to an Crouzet or Telemechanique amplifier module that shifts ta under 1 PSI pressure and sends an 20-100 PSI signal to an air operated water valve. No contact but needs som
