I am designing a system that would require 2 hydraulic cylinders but only have air available to move them, and need the stability of the oil.Where would I find the unit to convert the air to the oil output? Cylinders shoud be about 2 ID by 12""

The system is called air over oil, or air-oil. Most manufacturers make air-oil tanks. FabCo-Air in Gainesville FL is a great start. Using (2) 2 bore cylinders X 12″ stroke you have approximately 76 cubic inches of oil volume you need to fill.”

Pat;If you have MSWord 97 or higher I can send you a chapter out of a training book I use to teach Basic Fluid Power. It covers Air-Oil, Air Dash Pots, Air-Air and Air-Oil Intensifiers. There should be enough info to get you started.Bud
