We are trying to find our way through the forest of industrial pneumatics. We have the valve sy3240-5lou that was made by smc. It has 5 ports. Above each port there are letters like P and EB etc. We do not know what these mean and have been unab
P = Pressure PortA = A PortB = B PortEA = Exhaust for A PortEB = Exhaust for B Port
Port indication of valves are sometimes based on commonly used stds: JIS, NFPA, ISOP = supply portA = normally closed output portB = normally open output portEA = exhaust of port AEB = exhaust of port BP = 1 A = 4B = 2EA = 5 = R1EB = 3 = R2
Chuck,What the above people have failed to recogise is that the SY3240 is actually a manifold mounted valve so it has no threaded ports at all in fact the symbol lable SMC have placed on it won’t help since all the galleries are slotted at the bot
