    Hi!I 'm using a SMC solenoid VQ1131y-5-C4 for a robotic snake sculpure. THe problem is I can't get the solenoid to switch from outlet B to A. It got a flatt ribbon connector. When I apply voltage trough the ribbon connecter and a air pressure of

    Supply air on the P” port? Is it an external pilot? Does it switch when you press the little orange manual over-ride?Look at http://www.smcworld.com and contact the nearest office and ask them. It’s often too dificult to sum up in an e-mail.”

    Having the air supply on the proper port is probably your culprit. The air should go on port #1, or P”
