I want to establish the compressor capacity and quantity. Can anybody help me. My end use air quantity is 40 Nm3/Min for 20 minutes in every 1.5 hour. What would be the compressor capacity in cfm and air vessel volume. Kindly help me.
I only work in US terms and at 72 years old I don’t like to go thru the conversions. Hiwever, you have not supplied enough info for anyone to give an answer. The only obvious answer to your question with the info supplied is a compressr that will supply the flow for the run time at the desired pressure and shut it off or unload it during the time no flow is required. What Minimum and Maximum pressure do you need or can tolerate. This would determine the optimum size compressor and tank. The greater the diference between minimum pressure and maximum pressure the smaller the tank can be. Also which is more important a small compressor and large tank or a large compressor and a small tank? You shold try a Google search for compressor manufacturers and check out the ones that offer formula to size your setup.
