Can someone please tell me what the advantages are between a unidirectional and bidirectional blocking fitting ?
I am confused because when I look at the schematic the only difference I see is the pilot line on the uni is not exhausted and the bidirect it is .
Thanks in advance to anyone you can assist.
Do you have a Symbol, Part Number, Manufacturer or any other reference??????????????????
A unidirectional blocking valve usually will stop flow in one direction when engaged, functioning as a check valve. A bidirectional blocking valve usually is a valve that stops flow in both directions when engaged. I can not give any guidance on application suitability, except that pilot line connections can be more complicated for bidirectional blocking valves.
