Air over oil application

    I am considering using an air over oil application to essentially run a lifting elevator needing a stroke of 65 inches at speed of 65 fpm both up and down. Could I use an air over oil application and how does this type of system work exactly?

    Also, can anyone turn me on to a good info website for air over oil if possible.
